Hey y'all! I hope you're having a fantastic summer. Jason Evans over at Clarity of Night has hosted yet another fabulous flash fic contest.

My entry is here. Comments appreciated.

With fantastically huge enormous thanks to Tess and Precie. I love you, posse gals!

  3. I thought you did a tremendous job on "Dreamland Eyes," the relationship, or should I say, reunion, of mother and daughter.

As for having a discussion about flash fiction at Jason's blog, I'm all for it.

  4. Aerin,
I am enjoying exploring your blogs and poetry. I also enjoyed your piece on Clarity. I live in Colorado, too. I saw your quip about Jefe. He and I are in a writing group together, so I could be a bit biased. If you live in Denver we are always open to new people to join us and our group, although you seem to be doing quite well on your own. Thanks for posting the comment and next time I'll tone down the body count.

  5. Aerin,
I loved your piece Dreamland. It has the makings of a great novel. And I really hope you do try to develop it. You said so much in-between the lines without saying "it." Very artfully done. Shows you have a lot of talent!

I also wanted to thank you for all the time you took critiquing my piece GPS. I was amazed with how much you thought about. Flash fiction is new to me and I think it showed that I write novels in the way that not everything was developed fully or resolved. But thank so much for all your advice and thoughts and comments.

    Best of luck!

  6. Just wanted to drop by and say I really enjoyed your story. Packed a lot of story and emotion in just those few words.

Hope you are holding up under this Colorado heat!

  8. Ah, loved that story, Aerin, so poignant, loved the wistful, gentle humour tucked in there too. Great stuff! Would be wonderful to see this idea taken further - I suspect there's a whole novel waiting to be written around this idea.

And hey, you won too - HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!! xxx
